Aurona Skadi

I am a tattoo artist currently based in the picturesque south of Germany, though my roots reach far north to the rugged coast of the Baltic Sea. Growing up between the historic remains of the Viking settlement of Hedeby/Haithabu and the Slavic settlement of Starigard, I developed a deep fascination early on for the ancient peoples who shaped this region. Their stories and legends, but especially their artistic creations, have always captivated me.

The majestic rune stones, intricately decorated sword hilts, and delicate jewelry pieces that can still be admired there today inspired me as a child. After a few years as a digital artist, I eventually found my way back to my roots, immersing myself in the study of historical artifacts and their unique art styles.

Ultimately, my path led me to the art of tattooing, a craft that allows me to bring the motifs and myths of the North to life in a truly special way—directly on the skin of my clients. Today, I bring these ancient stories to the south of Germany with modern techniques. Wherever the wind takes me, I let the rich culture of the North live on through my work.
